I have a client that wants to fly a RED on cable cam device, in the flying they want to start with @ 6FPS and end at 96FPS. This has to be wireless and I was wondering what is my distance limitations for the wireless, and what would be the best device to start the ramp on event.

I tried wrapping my head around that one, but i have no good solution.
Just some experimental workarounds.

Im gonna guess Evin may have some ideas.

Wouldn't the client have better control of the ramp if you shot it all at a constant 96FPS and then did the ramp in post? The camera will be moving after all, and I don't want to think about the complexity of matching the correct ramp speed to camera location on the cable. There will be so much more flexibility with picking the perfect ramp in post.

That sounds like a better option. Plus, you won't have to ramp the iris with that method (changing your DOF).
