Isnt it time to let go of that "back up" body and kit, to raise funds for a scarlet?

Looking for a camera kit with case. Including 7" Lcd, flash module, (2-4) 16gb cards, (2) hard drives, EVF, 4 batts with 2 chargers, ET breakout box, mounting hardware, etc.

feel free to contact if you have any of these bits for sale. Would much prefer light usage, not interested in beaters.

thanks much.

Uh...
Why don't you just go buy one from Red, like everybody else?

That is of coarse always possible Rob. But I'm guessing there are many kits out there not being used, and if I can save 20-25% while helping someone out from a heavy dept, then why not?

let the guy buy a used camera, will you. there are people wanting to sell theirs.

I just added another camera to my arsenal (#6882- wow!) Prior to ordering one up from Red, I put a "WTB" post here. I was shocked at the dearth of PMs. The few responses I got were for full packages, often with lenses and accessories I did not want (Red zoom, Manfrotto tripod, RedRock this or that, etc.)
I bumped the post twice, with no responses, so I threw in the towel.
It IS shocking to me that they have sold 6,000+ cameras, each of which cost between $25,000 and $60,000 (or more, depending on what's in the package) and among those 6,000 there are no desperate sellers.
It's just funny, considering the lively trade in the film and broadcast camera world... I suppose that means we all love our Reds!
Cheers,
Harry

It IS shocking to me that they have sold 6,000+ cameras,

Since serial numbers are assigned at order time, it is my guess that there were lots of people in the early days that did not follow through with their order, and a lot of serial numbers were skipped.

OK Nate, see if this is better...
It IS shocking to me that they have sold some number of thousands (which we will never know for sure since serial numbers were skipped but I would not be surprised to see that number more than 6,000, in my own personal estimation, again not knowing exactly since some numbers were skipped due to some unknown number of people declining to take the camera assigned to that particular serial number), each of which cost between $25,000 and $60,000 (or more, depending on what's in the package) and among those 6,000 (or whatever number, since we really don't know for sure since some people may have declined to take their camera) there are no desperate sellers.
