man thats ugly...where does the battery go?

I can't wait to see what the price point will be set at, could be very attractive if it gets a good picture.

Knowing P+S more than the price of a decent 2nd hand SR3..:piggy:

There are already a few threads about this, price I got quoted for was about $40,000+- not much of a revolution for 16mm camera equipment if you ask me.

Its basically the si2k stripped down to a mag form factor with the appropriate technology to receive the cameras shutter pulse. Too much for a 2/3" single chip sensor and costs more than an si2k set-up, only great thing about the digital mag is that you can have a reflex finder.

I would love to see this product for somewhere around $20k... My Sr3 is unfortunately collecting dust.

I'm with you hunter, 40K is crazy. Can't imagine anyone would invest in this. BTW if you decide to sell your SR3 let me know, i may be interested. :-) 20K is reasonable, for a digimag, the one i am waiting for is the penelope, at the moment i am seriously considering laying down a deposit on a penelope and a set of Cooke S5's. The thought makes me feel both sick and ecstatic at the same time. :biggrin5:

True. At that price range, why not get a 4K R1 + nice extras?

Off topic: As far as 16mm goes, it is not an acceptable HD aquisition format for the Discovery Channel. Is F900 really superior to 16mm?
