Deanan and the gang have been working overtime.

You didn't hear it from me ... but I strongly suspect the next build of RocketCine-X is a post workflow GAME CHANGER.

I've just bought a Rocket (and its software tools) and am excited by its possibilities...

However I'm a bit busy at the moment don't want to play with it (Just put it to work). So I don't mind sticking it on a shelf for a few weeks.

Q:

Does it create ALEs?

Is near RT when writing Quictimes (DNxHD) or MXFs (in a system with no other bottleneck apart from the software wrappers)?

Does it alow the creation of MXF media yet? Is this reliable?

How far off are we from tools like Monkey extractor getting to harness its power? (I realise this is probably a question for 3rd party developers)

Any news about uncompressed avid media?

thanks for any info

Michael L

Ya' got me curious, too. I'm still wondering when they'll just morph these 2 app's together and make one awesome REDCINE-X app that works for both Rocket & non. Can't wait to see the new build for now, though.

I'm just waiting on my set test for that>>>

Laco,

you are always welcome.

When you pass Vienna and if you have a time, give me a call and I'll invite you for a glass of homemade bear at the brewery in my neighborhood.
