Battery problems

Mitch
Buying from Abel online store is simply impossible for anybody outside US.
I am in Canada and I need the Switronix plate to replace my second already Red plate.
Not good for you and companies you're distributing for.
Is there any other option to purchase it online elsewhere?
Thanks

Mitch

Hey Mitch, I would love to see you guys open up to the rest of the world, I have bought a few things from you guys but by personal contact, for the little stuff it would be great to use your website.

Mitch, is it possible to purchase RED batteries new and send them to you guys (or switronix) to have the pins swapped before final delivery to us? I noticed that RED is now doing 6 packs on the batts, thus the great price on their units, even after the pin swap.

Also, do the Switronix batteries have a P-tap built in?

Hi Everyone..

Well whenever i put the battery to charge, the LED light doesn't stay red, instead it just blinks on and off, and the battery never charges, i own a Casio Exilim 7.2 mega pixels.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We are actively working on re-engineering our website, especially with international sales and the REDuser community in mind. This is an ongoing project that will take some time, but we are committed to it. In the meantime please feel free to contact me directly if you have ever have any difficulty in dealing with us on the website or otherwise and I will make sure to have the appropriate person be in touch with you in the method you prefer. We know it is not the answer you'd like, but at least it is a solution for right now.

As for sending batteries directly from RED to Switronix, I should think that you could talk to RED and Switronix about that. RED will ship to whatever address you tell them to, and you should be able to work out such things with Vinny at Switronix. Abel chose not to get ourselves in between on the Switronix battery upgrade because it would add unneeded shipping and complication to the transaction, as well as enduser costs. But we encourage all to take advantage of the Switronix solution. I'm the one to told them they should actually make it a service and I think they were genuinely surprised by how many people have taken them up on the work.

Jason, if RED is willing to have your batteries drop shipped to us, we can surely do the repair. If not, you'll need to take delivery, and then send them to us. Just remember, the batteries have a 90 day warranty, which will most likely be voided......yet, RED hasn't officially said that on REDuser, so best to confirm. Please make sure to confirm with me via email prior to arranging the purchase though. As I've said before, we get a lot of RED bricks in daily, and they all look the same, so we're a little OCD on getting all info prior to servicing. I'm sure anyone who already had the service done can attest to how fluid and easy it went. Many times we're able to get the batteries shipped back out the same day.

As for the XP-L95RED, and XP-L190RED, yes they both have p-taps built in.

Any one knows if the Dionic 160 Anton bauer bricks communicate with the camera? that could be anther option, gold mounts are very stable.

Anton Bauer batteries are great, but they do not communicate with the RED One.

No need to trash your old plates.. simple fix.. open up the pins.. if you look at them, over time they close in and touch the center spike, just take a small flat head and pry them open.. they will hold the battery on, and will not shut the camera off when you touch the battery.. I can now operate from my battery with no worries if I wanted too

thanks for the fix Zakaree, I'll try it on mine.
Yet, It happened once it'll happen again...
Personally, I will not take a chance in a situation when each take costs money, simply not worth it.
I Got my self Switronix from Abel.

def go with abel for long term.. my fix is a quick and dirty solution for those who might not have the cash or time for the switronix. I havent personally tested the switronix, so i dont know for sure what it does.. but im sure it works great.
