  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Very cool 5dmkii Music video

Looks good, but I think it also stands as an example of the overuse of a shallow depth of field. Wow...it really started bugging me after about 20 seconds. Others may love that look, but to me, a super shallow DOF should be used sparingly and/or for a purpose. This just felt like someone who finally got a large sensor camera that could use selective focus... Did it bother anyone else?

Yeah. Reminded me of all the clips I used to see coming from the DIY Redrock adapter guys a few years back (I was one of them).

The music video guys I know put a lot of work into concept and making sure the concept/edit/song all meld somehow. I'm guessing this Director is just getting started.

I loved the girl's look though. If she can act she should.
 
I agree that the razor thin DOF detracted from it, I would have shot at a higher ISO and stepped down a bit.

Still liked the overall style.
 
I agree, some of the images are very nice but shaky cam combined with such narrow DOF makes for a difficult viewing experience.
