  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Well. . . we just did it. . .

. . . we just submitted our very first feature film to the Sundance Film Festival. We got it to FedEx with, quite literally, no time to go. We ended up having to send someone ahead to the district office and they held the truck open for our package.

I don't expect we'll be accepted to the festival, but I could not be more pleased with "Works in Progress."

Yes, it was our very first film (we had never so much as made even a short before, and had never been near a film set!), but, Lord willing, it won't be our last. And I can tell you this much: We're shooting the next feature on RED cameras, too.

Wish us luck.

Never2Late indeed... :)

A very big congratulations, Stephen! Sending your movie out into the world is a fantastic feeling. I'm sure Works in Progress will do well, Sundance or not. Best of luck!

Way to go! Right there with you, although we got ours out with about 20 minutes to spare:) It's a relief to have met that goal, especially with how insanely tight our post schedule was. Good luck!

Before I shoot myself in the head, Mike, what do you mean that today is not the final deadline? Where did you read that? Are you sure???? Point me to the spot! How much additional time do we have???

Thanks for all the thanks, guys. Making this movie was the hardest, greatest learning experience of my life. And that includes my Ph.D.!

I think you missed the real point of this thread...

Hmm, I don't think so, if Steven and his fellow film partners decide they want to pay a little extra to get a better version to the festival for review that is an option. An option many first timers aren't aware of. So, congratulations on the work Stephen, now, get back to work and finish the VFX or sound or whatever you wanted more time to polish :-)
