  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hoping someone can help shed some light on this...

We had a job shot 3k @ 60fps. When we tried to run it through Red Rushes, we would set it up, color, destination, codec, quality, etc.
Hit start, and Red Rushes progress bar would take about 2 seconds and say it's done... Leaving nothing in the output folder, and move onto the next file.

I tried 2 computers, 10.5.8 and 10.6.1 both had same issue.
Reinstalled the RR package, same issue.
Tried footage we'd shot previously, and there was no problem at all.
In the end we did a FCP Log and Transfer, but it was a huge headache because the job is a very short turn around.

- Is there a problem with RedRushes and 3k footage I wasn't aware of?

- Could it have been a firmware vs. software compatibility issue?

Thank you in advance,
Matt

Did you name any folders with non-alpha numerical symbols like @, $, #, &, etc

Anything other than letters, numbers, and dashes and slashes and RedRushes fails

No, it's my understanding that the folder structure remained the same as it was generated In Camera. Good to know though.

Sure there aren't any funny characters in parent directories?

ah crap, that's totally the problem.
I checked the folders again and sure enough the name of the client has an & in it...

Thank you for helping me with this.
