  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What Lenses and Lighting will help me achieve this look?

I know how to do this with Color, but what lighting and lenses are needed to schieve the blur that can be seen from the lights (flickers and "blinding" effect?)

Thanks

The horizontal streaks are a sign of anamorphic lenses while the blooming could be from lenses with none or just simple coatings. Film with a lot of backlight and high contrasts in the scene, finish with a lot of post.

streaks look like a streak filter rather than anamorphic glass. Lighting looks pretty basic, but the color correction is massive. thats where the look is coming from.

shots some stuff very similar....that does look like streak filter but anamorphic glass would improve on that ...my thoughts would be 6k par in a tunnel wet the walls and the floors...lomo anamorphic lenses and some serious di ....to try give you that reversal look...plus smoke...and may be something like a image 80 to bounce back in on the faces and leather

You can do this in AE. A couple of layers, a little blooming, a little blurring, etc, etc. Similar to the Bourne Identity flashbacks.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Would the vantage blue vision filters be what I'm looking for? Does anyone know what they cost? I heard they were expensive...
