Hi all - I need to feed a huge monitor in Times Square on Monday with my RED and also an HPx500 through a Panasonic switcher. The output from the switcher should be HD-SDI. Will this output work simultaneously with the 5" LCD? I notice there are three HD-SDI outputs: A, B, and Preview - any particular one I should use?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

HD-SDI outputs

You can use any one of those three outputs - PVW and the two marked HD-SDI - provided the camera is not put into playback. If there is a risk of that you should only use PVW.

And yes these will be active at the same time as the LCD output.

Make sure you test that your switcher is happy with the HD-SDI signal from a Red. Not all are.

You may want to run the new 4.5k in build 21. I think it will loose much of the "look around" that you will see in the preview. TEST IT FIRST!!!!!!! Or you might need to DVE/blow up the reds preview to get a clean picture.

Good luck!
Rich
