Recently produced a short - Shot in 4k - Using pro Res Hq in line with the information provided in the red White Paper.

Looking at footage in Clipfinder etc - Showing a size of 3840*2160. Why I wonder?

Are there problems I will encounter further down the line?

Thanks Niall...

You shot 4KHD mode, which is 3840x2160 or FOUR TIMES HD 1080p.

This is my one peeve with format naming on the RED One. 3840x2160 is an industry-accepted resolution and everyone else already knows it as quad-HD.

...You're not the first to ask this question.

As for problems down the line, nope. You're good. In fact this mode has a lot of advantages since it can be a direct 1/4 scale to 1080p, takes a bit less space, processes a bit faster, etc.. It's just a 3.8K crop of the 4K frame though.

Thanks Jeff - Appreciate the prompt reply - Has put my mind to rest.

Apologies for posting something that was potentially answered elsewhere - Did not see it.

Again much thanks.
