Hi,

we have recorded 24 bit sound on our REDONE with good results. On further inspection when checking the audiofiles we transcoded with finalcut log and transfer into Prores 422 HQ in FCP the soundfiles are 16 bit files.

- Looked at all the settings in FCP and couldn´ t figure anything out...

Anyone?

Hi Simon,

looked for it, but couldnt find the setting in fcp. If everyone else has 24bit on their Prores - files, I better look better! I only thought perhaps others had stumbled upon the same issue...

Think I found the answer to be: FCPs log and transfer is a bad option. Redrushes is better and renders 24 bit sound into 24 bit sound.

I don't know why L&T is still the first choice in the Red white paper. Don't use it, I use Clipfinder and it's amazing, Redrushes is fine too, although with Clipfinder you have a lot of more options.
