Hey guys, need some help. I have a Panasonic HD broadcast monitor, and I have a Pioneer Kuro 50" client monitor. Running all of these off of a Kona 3, with the Pioneer going through an AJA Hi5 HDMI converter. The problem I'm having is that my Pioneer client monitor is a few frames behind the audio and the Panasonic broadcast monitor. I don't have any of these items hooked up to sync. Is that the problem? I know that's probably a stupid question. But I could use some second opinions. Thanks

Is it a few frames behind the live audio that you hear from the set, or the electronic audio that comes through the monitor?

I would expect having 2 devices between camera and the client monitor would add some video delay, but I would hope the audio passing through them is delayed the same amount. Perhaps this is adjustable on the Kona? Also some high-end receivers allow you to retime the audio to match the video signal. Maybe your Kuro can do that?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. This is in my edit suite.

The HDMI converter has a >1 frame delay due to the format conversion. You'll need to either use an audio line delay box (any old cheap thing will do if you can do it in the analogue audio realm) or you'll need to switch your KONA 3 to an LHi or another card with direct HDMI output.
