The one and only reason you would not want to buy the RPZ 18-85, is because you need a small and light zoom option, other then that, there is not a single reason not to get the RPZ 18-85, is just a fantastic lens, yes it is large, and yes it weights about 10lb, but it is an incredibly well executed piece of glass.
