  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey there, I was the boom operator on this film, but noticed it wasn't represent in the "SHOT ON RED" forum, so thought I'd post it. Its a really great story, awesome cinematography, and was all shot on the RED ONE. Enjoy!

Heres the Official Description:
At the height of the Great Depression, the showman of a renowned circus leads his troupe through the devastated American landscape, lifting the spirits of audiences along the way. During their travels they discover a man without limbs at a carnival sideshow, but after an intriguing encounter with the showman he becomes driven to hope against everything he has ever believed. Starring Eduardo Verástegui (Bella), Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Fantastic Four) and featuring the debut performance of Nick Vujicic.

I hate to admit to this... but this actually made me tear up a little. Very nicely done. Excellent cinematography, excellent screenplay, and excellent delivery of the message. I particularly like the use of the symbolism of the butterfly.

Beautiful.

Loved so many aspects - cinematography, score, performances, art direction, editing, sound design, colour... the list goes on and on.

All involved must be very proud.

Damn that was good. Best short film I've seen in quite a while and shot on RED too. :) Looked great!
 
I just saw this after hearing about it on Dougie's twitter. (Dougie has got to be my top3 of all the people I love, and you were so blessed to have him) ;)

Great short, and when the credits started coming up, I thought to myself, "Was this shot on Red?" I kept watching, and of course it was. :D

(P.S. The way I found this thread was I googled to make sure nobody else had posted the short on RedUser) :rant:
