Red One Will Not Boot - HELP!

We are on set and our red one will not boot, it gets power and the back lcd panel lights up but it just sits blank. Help!

Did you just upgrade to Build 20.1.3?

try unplugging the lcd and evf and then rebooting, after it boots up, plug them in. This is bug that used to be around in 15 and 16, but is starting to happen to a few people on 20.

By any chance are you having garbled startup screens or the warning BODY HOT a few minutes after booting up - please let me know.

Here what has always worked for me all of the time. If you go to boot and the back panel reads "Booting..." and then just sits there like a slug, power down. Wait thirty seconds minimum, then power up again. It always boots up the second time around. No unplugging of anything needed.

Good advice.

If after upgrading to Build 20 v20.1.3 you are having boot up issues, PLEASE send RED Tech Support the camera LOG file.

As there was a specific fix for this in Build 20. we'd like to understand why the boot up sequence is stalling in your specific application.
