  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Why not ISO 100?

Has anybody done an ISO testing for tungsten yet?
Would be really interesting to know.

Thanks
totti

I have done a whole series of tests shooting tungsten and mixed lighting with build 20. Everything was rated at lit @320 F4. It looks spectacular with the new color science and the colors render really nicely.

I have to say that the camera produces sharper images when exposing daylight sources (we used a joker, light panels and kino's for our tests. That sensor still loves the blue light.
BUT

Tugnsten looks FAR superior to any build to date. TO the point that I would use tungsten as a key without a 1/4 blue (as I had been doing).

Pushing it to 400 or 500 ISO (without touching the iris) also gives pleasing results.

I get the distinct feeling I am missing something... are there images that I'm not seeing? I see only posts with text, no pictures in this thread.

That's because this thread is over a year old and many of the attached images were lost with the site crash(es) and links no longer work.

"The RED Mysterium sensor is rated ISO 320-500."

This is great news considering that I shoot stills and my Canon 1ds gets progressively noisier as it gets above 100.
