Well, the Sonnet will definitely, definitely, definitely work under OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

A lot of other cards use the Sil3132 chipset's reference drivers which are occasionally very buggy under 10.5 (I have one and sometimes it kills my AirPort card - and we have a PCI card version that kernel panics our Mac Pro from time to time).

I cant specifically answer the question but I can tell you the Sonnet card has worked fine in a number of systems here trouble free. We did need some support once for a patch and the distribution company here in the UK were very helpful and Soonet seemed to support them very well.

The CalDigit also works great. But it has only 1 eSATA port.

A lot of these are the same exact cards, Rosewill's is very cheap and is identical to most on the list in the $35-50 range. 3132 Drivers/ I've been using the rosewill for over a year now.

The Sonnet Tempo Pro has hotswapping abilities where the cheaper one does not.

I use e-sata CF card readers sometimes, and I have to eject the express card every time I add a new CF Card to the reader(which are hotswap and work with my SAS cards in other computers).
