In Adobe Premiere 4.1, with 1.7 RED installer, is there an easier way to get to the source settings for a clip on the timeline than this?

Right click on the clip in the sequence and select "Reveal in Project". Then go to the project where the clip is now highlighted. Right click on the clip and select "Source Settings".

Its seems crazy to have to do that for each and every clip. I know you can select multiple clips and effect them as a unit but once you've got something cut together, thats when you start to see where the look needs to go. The ideal way would be to have a floating window displaying "Source Settings" all the time that changes depending on what clip you have selected.

On a side note: I was also wondering if there is a way to export/delete "Source Settings" presets once created. I'm already starting to fill up with "Test" presets. This seems like a powerful option but not fully implemented as of yet.

The whole Adobe way of doing things is new to me, I just started yesterday after having it up to HERE with FCP's file management.

I second this question. Just had to change the settings on an entire feature. So much labour waisted on what should be able to be done in batch.

Also, when exporting always (or before colour grading) check your project settings to see if it is REC709 (if that is what you are grading at). What we found is if we port a project from one computer to another these settings sometimes change for no reason at all. Very aggravating if you discover this after an entire grade.

It would be great if adobe adds a new command in the right click pop up menu for "source settings", or at least a shortcut..

We knew this going in, so we adjusted the Source Settings as we imported them into the project, saving the settings as presets so they could be applied to similar clips. I can't imagine have to go back to do this after you've completed a project. I do like that you can see the name of the preset that's been applied to a file in the Log Notes column, so you can at least see which clips have been altered and what preset you used.
