Websites with heaps of film stills for cinematography reference

[XiaoSu Han]

I found the following sites very useful when trying to communicate a look through a still:

http://evanerichards.blogspot.com/
http://image-par-image.blogspirit.com/archive/2005/10/30/roger-deakins.html (on the left hand side)
http://www.leavemethewhite.com/index2.html
http://framefilter.blogspot.com/

anyone got more of those?

cheers, Xax

Thanks for those links XiaoSu - good references.

Check out this old thread

for some, although sadly many pictures were lost during the Reduser.net server crash a while back.

Also, although no frame grabs, this may be of some interest (all talking heads unfortunately), but probably some insights into the thoughts behind cinematography?

Anyone got this yet, and can post a review?

Thanks. Really appreciated.

Thanks for the additions, I've seen "cinematographer style" and it's quite good. You can watch it on Vuze btw. But more philosophy of things than the technical side and just talking heads, yes. Also features David Mullen!

I don't know if that's legally put up there or not though, although it's there since 2007 and has all the credits.

Bookmarked; thanks for this.
