FCP can't RECONNECT clips to their master clip? They haven't fixed this?

I am looking for a function in FCP7 or FCP6 that would allow you to reconnect clips to their master clips; much like you are able to do when reconnecting files to media in the "reconect media window".

This is important because we have lost the masterclip to affiliate clip relationship between clips in the timeline and clips in the browser. The master clips in the browser have multiple markers on them. These markes have been used for transcripts and are very important.

Any ideas?

Thanks this could be very helpfull. Allthough i am still not sure that it is able to reconnect clips to their master clip but it looks promising so ill check it out. We are not trying to reconnect media in any way. we have just lost this masterclip relationship so when you push shift F it does not find your clip in the browser.
