  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Clipfinder 2.2 beta 6 released

Will you include the new prores codec in the next version of clipfinder? .

I'm guessing Hans will do it as soon as it's enabled in REDline!

That's make sense...
About the looping bug, it still exist in color, I've imported a 3k r3d file and I had the bug but the bug fixer of clipfinder works really well also with color 1.5, so no problem.

I have made a new version available on my website (2.2 beta 6k).
No new features, but much improved stability for distributed rendering.
This version also brings back Help Files and Documentation Layout Templates that got lost in the previous release.

Cheers,
Hans

Hans, would it be possible for Clipfinder to someday auto implement the looping fix on clips that span more than 1 .r3d? I suppose it's not that important until RED ALERT fully supports proxy generation again, but it was be a very nice convenience to have. :)

The fix is applied to the Color project (structure) files, not to the clips themselves.
Since Clipfinder cannot detect when you "send to Color" from FCP, I don't see a way of applying the fix automatically.

Sorry,
Hans

Is it possible to add the ability to pick white balance to Clipfinder? My new b20 footage needs to be white balanced. The qt proxies look great, but the R3D files not so good until they are white balanced in Red Alert.

Thanks
Dusty

This has been bugging me for a while and I 'm still trying to find out how to do this.
How to determine the correct kelvin and tint values from an RGB value that should be corrected to a neutral grey is not obvious to me.
The only solution I can think of is an iterative one.
If anybody knows better, I'd be very interested.

Cheers,
Hans

Hans,

Have you worked on supporting the Redrocket, yet?
