Here we go again - another 5D Mark II timelapse I did just yesterday. This one is different to the other ones since it was a full moon. Sure was amazing to see the mountains in bright light at night... Enjoy!

Hey Tobi

very nice. Just checked your other stuff on vimeo.
Love the hotel "dance" video.

Our swiss mountains are perfect for dramatic timelapses.
Tom should come over here and bring his rig once.

Jaw-dropping. I watched it six or seven times in a row. Gotta love those meteors

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

Thanks Tim, happy to hear you like the hotel piece - we had a looot of fun doing it. Just wish I would have had some redcode to play with after...

You're absolutely right, Switzerland is just amazing for timelapses, and hell yeah, Tom definitely should get over here with all his gear. Tom? :)

yeah Tobi you are right the5d should have something like the REDcode.
I just say Epic FF. I'm realy looking forward to trade in my RED for the beast.
I dont understand why canon doesnt bring a RAW cinéstyle cam. They have all the tools to do that. They are the only ones that could bring out a "RED Killer" easily.
They got the best sensors, good glass, RAW know how etc.

Of course I love RED much more and I hope that the others will sleep for ever but sometimes it makes me wonder who's in charge there.

Anyway keep on shooting. We probably will see each other in Zürich once together with Daryl or Brian Goff.

I have a feeling Canon is going to announce a new video camera this Fall or Winter, with a large sensor, overcranking, maybe some type of RAW, etc.

Yeah they should and could.
They are the only ones with all the tools to realy compete with RED.
All other companys have some very expensive high-end cams that they would canibalize.

Very interesting times. Very cool for us cinematographers.

Beautiful Tobias

Do you mind telling us what settings you used? Did you use the TC-80N3?

Thanks. Yes, that's the intervalometer I used. Settings were 8 seconds exposure time @ 2.8 and ISO 800.

Anyway keep on shooting. We probably will see each other in Zürich once together with Daryl or Brian Goff.

Yeah, we'll probably run in each other some day - about time actually... :)
