I am looking for a TA3 male to 3.5mm mini cable I can use to connect my Sennheiser Lav to my Red for reference audio. I have cable and adapters that work, but the cable ends up being 2.5' long and awkward. I am looking for a 9-12" long TA3m to 3.5mm to make things cleaner. Does anyone make such a cable?

Are you sure that works? You actually got sound?

Yes, it works great.

Send out of the sounds guys recorder to the Sennheiser transmitter. Then connect the Sennheiser receiver to the camera. Once the levels are set, you get pretty good audio. I use it all the time.

On really low budget projects we give the director a Sennheiser receiver to use as a comtek.

Well, that's not how your post reads.....
It reads you are connecting the lav directly to cam/mic input.

"I am looking for a TA3 male to 3.5mm mini cable I can use to connect my Sennheiser Lav to my Red for reference audio"

A Lav is a microphone......nothing was said about wireless.

Take the XLR off the cable that comes with your Senn... You didn't say which model RX you had.. I'm asumming G2....
And solder on TA3M

Trailangel,

Thanks for not helping. I said specifically what cable I am looking for and I don't want to cut up one of mine.

Don't forget to use your real name. Its a requirement of this forum.

Well now Dusty, don't get your tail in a knot.
Nobody can help you if you don't tell them what model RX you have.
And this is the second time I've asked.. What model RX do you have?
You will most likely have to make that cable.
You can look here:

But doesn't look like they make RED cables.

That's it for my help for today....
