I would love to see the Adobe Red Importer work with Bridge and / or Media Encoder.

Imagine... batch rendering Red footage to DVCPro, or the Matrox Axio codec, or Cineform, or any of the standard formats / codecs that already rock in the Adobe environment.

It would be an excellent stop gap on the way to Redrocket.

Red, please consider.

This would also be great for editing metadata, as currently I'm having trouble finding a program to edit .r3d metadata outside of Premiere (like Clipfinder or RedAlert, which are both Mac only).

What's wrong with editing R3Ds right in Premiere? The idea of Adobe's workflow is to avoid transcoding entirely.

adobe media encoder works well for me, and if you want to do it faster, create a timeline of your choice, drop the .R3D and hit enter. In my quad core laptop i get realtime dv encoding.
