Hello red User,
as I understood, the new color science is efficient in color 1.5
When I grade footage from build 20.0.2 (using log and transfer ingesting native mode) in color, it's still the look of old color science.
I noticed in color tab their's a redcode codec 2.9,
Is it possible the red code codec 3.8 in the Quicktime library is in conflict with the color's one?
I guess I did something wrong, please can someone give me a clue?
Thanks in advance
Regards

I don't think the new color science stuff is in FCS3 yet. I'm getting much nicer renders out of the RED tools that have it vs. out of Color. The question was asked about the new color science when the FCS3 plug-in was released and there was never a direct answer given by anyone at RED.

So, I'm really thinking it's not in there because the results I'm getting don't show that it is.

It appears to be the old colour science in Color 1.5, as you do not need to change the white balance as you would if it were new CS. ie clip shot in daylight looks correct with colour temp in Color set to 5600K => old CS.

This is beyond frustrating.

Why can't someone from RED simply answer "yes" or "no" to the very simple question of whether or not Color 1.5 with the new FCS3 plugin supports b20 color-science?
