  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sometimes I make a post or answer a post, then I read it and say ... that's stupid, I'm an idiot. I would probably be a lot worse if we didn't have to use real names. I would post far less and with higher quality ... if I had a Scarlet to play with ...
 
Lol...real names would force you to post with higher quality but if you make foolish posts no1 here is going to seriously judge you, i mean jees i make them all the time, and I think to be honest I've had the most support and help from the REDUser community, the Real name thing just makes it nice to know that the other person your talking to is potentially an actual straight forward person, not some random person that has 5 odd accounts on the same site and you can't really trust wth they are saying...

agreed tho...a nice scarlet to play with would make everyones posts here higher quality or just plain silent since nobody would be on the net anymore and out shooting instead :P
 
We pulled the ban hammer on Stuart a year back and the board has made sense ever since.
 
TBH about 50 per cent of the posts here are either just repeating what someone else has said or chatting complete rubbish (me included) but worryingly this is often when someone starts a thread explaining how to get great results in really simple terms or recommends that we think of things in a certain (different) way and are often really well received.

The other bad thing about real names is when you get real, everyone knows who it is who is acting like a flaming troll (especially when you have an incredibly unique name like Stefan Christou, google it, I dare you).

But props to everyone on these boards for helping me learn a massive amount about film-making, even if it is sometimes through seeing the poor logic in your posts and having to investigate further.

Sometimes I feel like the Guild of the Scarleteers are the Tuskegee Airmen, and I'm still waiting to go into action baby!

Ain't nothin' wrong with the moniker you carry, it has that whole comic book, bigger than life alliteration going for it; Lex Luthor, Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, Guy Gardner, Matt Murdock, Jim Jannard, Scott Summers, Otto Octavius... see, you fit right in there. I bet that most people would read over that list and their only response would be - "Jim Jannard? What was his super power again?"

I could join that club if I used my first name but John Johnson is too generic to be comic book cool... although I do seem to have the uncanny ability to be invisible to pretty girls so maybe I do have a super power.

They could call me in when they needed someone to go up against Cat Woman.

Seriously, call me. Halle Berry or Michelle Pfeiffer, either way, I'm up for it.

If I hadn't already overused the low brow sexual innuendo with those last two sentences, I would also add "They would never see me coming".

But I have too much self respect for that.

bosssssssssss friend or not.. in that formula acehole is just one word.. yet a name begins w/ a capital except in gangs posts.

Well actually, My friends call me and know me as ace. Jim loves to pull your legs. Heh heh.

My last name is a combination of Hebrew/Arabic which sounds odd with Ace, so I'll just probably change it to just Ace.

I'll still ban you for not using your real name though.

Now.. I probably shouldn't be posting too often in the "I post stupid posts" thread.. Hmm.. That must say something..

Ace. Sting. Madonna. Cher. I'm jealous as hell that I don't have a cool name like these guys. :-)

We just had a lone puppy and named him "Presto". If I had any balls, I would have taken that!

Yep do it! Would Ace be okay? Or does the convention only allow for first name/last name.

Otherwise Ace is good to go.
