$800 without the CD's??? Whether I can download them from the internet or not, If someone would pay $800 they better at least be getting copies of the Content Discs. Without those (no matter how useful the content actually is) this is only worth $500. And with FCS3 around the corner??

Kwan - I meant the other discs with DVDSP, Motion, etc.... The Studio comes with 7 DVDs... Not all of it is content.

Plus, during the installation process it asks for each of these discs...

Given that FCS3 just released this morning, the lack of media for Kwan's FCS2 package is really moot. He's selling a legit serial number, so that would allow anyone to buy the new FCS3 at the upgrade price.

However, Kwan, I think your price of $820+ isn't going to fly now. FCS3 is $999 or $299 for the upgrade.

you can upgrade from Final Cut Studio 2, Final Cut Studio 1, Production Suite, or any prior version of Final Cut Pro. Just pick up an old FCP 1.2 box off ebay.

I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy Final Cut Studio without a full set of discs. You can't get that content on the internet and Apple's not going to sell it to you if you're not the original registered owner. Plus you can get your own brand new copy of FCS 3 for $999 right now or $299 via any prior version. According to the Apple Store:

"The Final Cut Studio upgrade provides an upgrade path from Final Cut Studio 2, Final Cut Studio 1, Production Suite, or any prior version of Final Cut Pro. Academic and Not-For-Resale (NFR) versions are not eligible for upgrade."

Option #1.
As I said... You just need First disc to install FCP2 (complete) and you can easily transfer owner ship and purchase content. Done.

Option #2.
Now... You just need to purchase FCS3 Upgrade for $299 and Buy My Serial # ($500+ and you don't even need any Disc)... and you have New FCS3 in your system ....Done

Doesn't the upgrade need the previous version of FCP to be installed on your machine? If that's the case, buying an old version (i.e. G4) of FCP may not work on a newer machine and the upgrade will be useless... right?
