FS: Red 300mm Prime (mint)

The lens is in mint, as new, condition. It comes in the original box. I will add a set of internal NDs to the lucky owner. This is the original (non-Pro) version, which has the support mount (God knows why there isn’t one on the newer Pro version) and is optically the same as the Red Prime Pro 300mm.

The lens covers FF35mm. This particular sample did quite well on the MTF machine and scored MTF 25% at 50lp/mm at f/2.8 (compared to a Master Prime 36%) so, considering larger image circle, it is almost as sharp. The back focus has been measured to be at +0.014mm which, for a long lens, is within the tolerance.

Also available is a 117mm ring adapter for Arri LMB-5 matte box to fit the lens barrel.

The original 300mm is certainly not "un-pro"

Around $4k including a set of brand new drop-in ND filters. It is a $2k saving and the lens is in like new condition and comes in the original packaging.

It is a reluctant sale, but I need to trim weight (and cost) of the kit and I already have similar focal length covered.
