I ran across some videos on YouTube last year (I think) of a few short clips taken from a set of DVDs (6?) on cinematography and film making. Some of the notable ones I remember were "how to light" and they showed you how to light a candle scene, a bon fire scene, etc.. They also showed a lot of other tips and tricks, and had also talked about a lot of equipment out there these days to use.

Does anyone know of this DVD set and what website I can find it on? Thanks!

I think you are talking about the Kodak Masterclass vids. If you are I feel they are a bit out of date.

Sounds like filmschool stuffed onto dvd's. Probably has some great info in there but it'll never compare to real experience.

I alert you guys! I just tried to write an email to this guy/firm asking why there was no more activity since spring 2007 and my eMail got returned because it was not deliverable! There are no other means of contact ont he this site. So beware to order soemthing there!

I own this set (I bought it from filmwareproducts.com a couple of months ago) and it does have a lot of good info, but it is definitely aimed at entry level film makers. It has good fundamental info and has educated me quiet well, but I'm still going to go to film school. Feel free to pm me if you want a run-down of whats on the disks.
