I'm trying to import my footage via the FCP plug in but I'm finding that it's not importing footage that was shot at 3k at 48fps. I saw something in the manual about how shooting 3k isn't recommended for import into FCP. Anybody have a work around?

I tried searching for this but I get a bunch of random things. Even if someone knows of a existing thread it would really help me out.

4k footage is importing just fine. I'm using FCP 6.0.6 on a MacBookPro (just for import).

3K native R3D editing is not supported in Final Cut, nor is it supported in Color for grading, you will need to transcode from RED Alert (or Clipfinder, Red Cine, Monkey Extract etc.) and work from there with whichever intermediary format you choose.

So, when I bring it through one of those programs, I'll be down rezzing it to 2k, which should match up with my other footage that I'm bringing in through the plug in because that's essentially 2k as well? (this for a music video, so I don't need a 4k film out)

Sorry, this my first time really handling RED footage on my own.
