  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Never Winter"

Excellent imagery! Congrats, bro!

The only thing negative is that it is hard to tell what is really going on in the trailer. As far as the wreck of a home life the girl has, that is very clear to me, but I am not getting the whole dandelion thing...

Looks wonderful! :}

Holy shit that's a short!?
Looks beautiful and meaningful. Nice work.

looks promesing! the synopsis made me want to see the short even more! but Jared Caldwell is right there is some information missing in the trailer. but maybe it would give to much away. anyways just by seeing the trailer you got me interested.

greetings eric

Thanks for the feedback guy! I see what Jared is saying.. The problem is that we didn't want to give that part of the film away. If you watch it again and listen closely to the V.O. I think u'll get what that part is about. Hopefully :)

Superb trailer.. great acting, and very nice visuals.

Clint Mansell's music certainly makes the trailer hit hard.. I love it.

great work.

Very nice looking...

Really love the shot of her blowing the two dandelion's

EDITED TO ADD: The synopsis has me very interested as well... Hope to get to see the entire film some day.

Good luck with the film.

Thanks Jason! Yea Omar's right.. The film, imo, is better than the trailer. And what comes after she blows on the dandelions is pretty cool..

Glad u like it Bal!

wonderfully balanced colors. Beautiful grade. Fantastic casting choices. I did find myself wondering why so much slow movement and fade to blacks. I only bring it up because it felt intrusive in that I didn't lose myself entirely in the film. Reminds be of M. Bay and Z. Snyder visualization: Beautiful but sometimes leaves me wondering...to what end? Please don't take this negatively as it's just one person's humble opinion; clearly you are gifted artists. It strikes me that the humanity of your story may be drowned out a bit by the visual conventions. Lastly, the abrupt shift toward the end didn't really work for me - it felt a bit like the typical trailer convention of throwing something at the audience once they've been lulled. From what I saw the strength of your story stands with the emotions and that's what I would center the trailer around....

Cheers,

Enjoy your successes! No doubt, there will be many.

Hey Adil, thanks a lot for the comments. I think that if you saw the full film you would get what your asking for. This was a trailer designed to pique interest after all. Its hard to pack all the emotion of a 25-30 min short into a 2 min trailer. Also, it was important to us not to give away too much. The great majority of what you saw takes place in the first half of the film (although there are shots in the trailer that take place later)

There are several long and uninterrupted (and beautifully choreographed and subsequently acted) sequences... some lasting as long as 1 min.
