Howdy

So I've done some searching, and can't seem to come up with a solution to go from the RED mini 4pin accessory power outs on the back of the cam, to standard 4-pin 12volt. There certainly doesn't seem to be anything from the RED store.

Any pointers?

thanks

It is a simple cable that we or other could make for you. But I warn you, that output can handle very little amperage, so be careful what you power off of it.

Thanks Mitch, we might get back to you on that then.

Would it be better to(/is it possible to) go off the 2-pin aux power from the cradle and put the 4-pin on the other end of that instead?

Yes, going out the 2-pin AB tap on the cradle is the reccomended way to power accessories when possible, as they draw from the battery before powere goes to the camera, instead of drawing power through the camera at limited amperage, as Mitch pointed out.

Yes, and in fact the 2-pin PTap to XLR4 is a very common and inexpensive cable which we can sell to you. We usually have a bunch in stock at any given time.
