So I teamed up with several other team members to shot a short for the DVXuser festival. We shot it on the RED and had a fun time pushing our creativity. (A lot of the other work we do as a team is corporate / industrial work.)

Check out the film here: Tarts, Fools, & The G-Men
(Download should start automatically after a couple of seconds.)

All of the BTS picks, blog postings, etc here: DVXUser Thread: TFG

The complete listing of entries: DVXFest: QUESTFEST

We enjoyed working on the project, hopefully you enjoy it as well. :)

It's a pity that movie didn't finish like a "porn" from the beginning!!!

Later sorry was a clear BS, fake and no need to watch it at all except if

you never seen RED1 in that shooting situations the you could do it...!!!

Nice... Did you grade the RAW files though? Cause there was some color noise... or was it intentional?

I enjoyed your shot selection Ryan and your color work was solid. Twisted but fun to watch.

Thanks we had a fun time working on it. :)

Unfortunately I was not able to grade the RAW Files, as the editor worked in Premiere, and it was quite a hassle to get it over to Color so that I could even work on it. The Color noise I think has to do with the compression- at least that is my guess, as it does not show up in the original. The compression was a tricky thing to get done (also done by the editor). It was done using a custom preset, and there wasn't much time before the deadline to tweak it before submission. Fortunately for the cast and crew I'll have the time to work with the editor to get it compressed to a place that I'm happy with it. (There was also a slight color shift as well.)
