Hi guys, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in a while so I'm just wondering if anyone knows how things are progressing on the Red One update that will allow recording up to 4.5K. I believe RED made a statement maybe a year ago that a build was in the works... just curious if that is still on the plate or not.

We've had quite a few threads on this, to me what would be more useful would be 4K @ up to 60fps, or heck even 48fps would make me happy.

I dunno, I was under the impression that the RED One was capable of clocking at up to 60fps @ 4K, so, if that is the case, then I would "assume" that it could be a firmware issue as well.

60FPS at 4K would be great if it's possible. The camera is already amazing, and seems to have the (built-in) potential to be even more amazing.

THink about what 4k at 60fps means in processing power for 2 min. Then start talking after you have the answer. ;)

Now about that 4.5 k ??
