Proxy editing and output in FCP

Hey everybody,

I am trying to edit a RED project with FCP. I have an 8-core Mac with a Kona 3 card. I am editing using the "m" proxies in sequences that default to Apple Prores HQ 23.98. The Kona audio works fine but my problem is I seem to be getting no video output from the Kona 3 card to my client monitor. I have tried a multitude of settings but nothing produces a signal. I have used the component outs and the SDI out from the Kona breakout box. I have also tried it rendered and unrendered.

Any thoughts as to how I get the Kona 3 to put something onto my client monitor?

It should work with pretty much any kind of video hardware output as long as it supports 23.976 output. If the client monitor is not capable of displaying 23.976 then what you have to do is to set it so the video hardware displays 23.976 timeline on 29.97 display.
What is your client monitor?

It's your monitor ( connected to kona) thats unable to run at 23.98 probably.

Whats the make model of the monitor?

Hey thanks guys... the monitor works when tested with other equipment. It's a Panasonic TH-37PH10UK. Does that change anything?
