Every time we boot our camera up we have to go into the menu and REC. ENABLE the audio tracks in order to get audio. Even if the boxes are checked with the red check mark I still have to uncheck and re-check the REC ENABLE for the associated audio channels.

This as happened ever since Build 18 (we are on Build 20 now). Any ideas why? Does the camera default to disabling the audio channels every time we power down?

We're having the same problem--just upgraded to Build 20 and can only get audio working by going into menu, REC ENABLE, check the boxes OFF then recheck them ON and then go to 48V and check the boxes ON (we leave the 48V boxes checked ON when we power off, and when we reboot they are still checked ON, but because we have to turn REC ENABLE OFF, the 48V check boxes get turned OFF, so we then have to go and turn the 48V back ON). Phew.

It'd be great if this could be the subject of some love...

There are preset buttons that can be assigned to all sorts of functions. But that still doesn't alleviate the issue of having to enable the audio channels every time the camera is turned on.

Recently on a shoot we would shut down often to change lenses and every time the camera operator would get set to roll again the audio guy (from across the room) would have to remind him to enable the audio channels. Annoying.

I don't remember this being an issue in previous builds.

I don't know who you are, Rudolph, but you sure ask good questions. This brings up another one:

Is it 100% recommended to turn off the camera every time when changing lenses?

Thoughts?

Kevin
