Jim will probably kick my ass for posting this but look what I found rummaging through the old Oakley archives...

This was one of the earliest Oakley ads, that Jim shot and laid out himself.. He shot a good chunk of the Oakley ad campaigns over the last 30 years... something I don't think alot of people know.

That is what I call a master in marketing.
Days will tell if the Red One has done good to the industry or not.

I bought many pairs of Oakley 1's. They would only last for a week or two before being stolen, we had to start glueing them on. I think we would get them from a bike store in Los Alamitos or Cypress, and I think we met Jim there once. They were highly coveted.

Funny how Nostalgia...

Funny how Nostalgia...

is hitting me right now. Love the Type face... always.

Wonder why Jim picked/approved it.

Now if someone can post some Ocean Pacific Tee shirts I will be in heaven.

But skip the whole Jams thing, that was almost like parachute pants.

HAHAHAHAHa

Hey was that Jim Jannard

Hey was that Jim Jannard

on the left side of the guy (being purifeid or whatever)... Guess I am thinking a Hitchcock moment,
probably not.

I think I will go to bed now.

This is great stuff Jarred! You can really see Jim's creative esthetic in both ads.

Got any more?

Id love to see more creative from Jim...that was really well done

Thanks for sharing the video. I like how Jim seems so dramatic but also compassionate and humanitarian. Nice job Jim! It is also great to see people taking full advantage of good audio!
