I've had a lot of problems shooting Rec709 with some colours and exposures going wildly out of whack. As a result, I have mainly shot with the camera set to RedSpace.

Now, as I step into color-grading-experiment-mode I wish to start on the right foot and workflow basics. So, with HD broadcast being Rec709, is there a problem if I continue to post with all material set at RedSpace?

Any suggestions on settings across the board to make sure I compensate for gamma correctly?

Cheers,
Dale

AS far as i understand that if you use RedSpace - and you did not mess up your exposures then you be fine. In REC709 you get a picture with all (most - not sure) the RAW stuff that was there so you would be better of grading of that.

In terms of color space, both the cameraRGB and REDSpace are compatible with use for REC709 monitoring and broadcasting. However, with the recent color science work (available in camera V20, and REDAlert! V20, soon for other apps) it's also now very safe to use REC709 color space and you will achieve accurate colors.
