oh here is a photo of the case open.. as you can see it comes loaded with extra foam pucks to vary the depth of the holes as needed.

Isn't it better to store lenses in an air-tight case, like Pelican, with some silica moisture absorber inside? How otherwise do you control the humidity inside?

Spoken (typed) like a true underwater cameraman.

This style of case is industry standard, not a Pelican type. Stick so dessicant in the case with the gear and one is generally fine. If you open the case to find a lot of humidity, pull the caps and point a tungsten light like a 1K (something with some heat) at it and the moisture will vaporize.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I consider it essential to have a spot for these for each lens.

the holes are deep.... you can put them on top or below each lens. if you want by taking out an extra disk.

Like I said, tape 'em to the lens cap. Helps keep things together.

Cases are big and even though they might not be heavy, Fedex charges a standard density and calculates weight based on backage size. I ship alot of guitar stuff to Germany and the price is often $200-$300.

50lb + cases add up and become tough to lug with a small crew.

Not a deal breaker just a nice option.

It was a very serious thought... i love wheels but on a lens case.. its a bad idea. not just from the constant vibration from rolling, but when a case has wheels, its easy to get a little lazy.. and roll them off curbs and other silly things we all say we would never do. Those little things can jostle any lens out of whack pretty quickly.

The cases are big.. they are meant for no-compromise protection during transport and shipping. We could of made them smaller, could of made them a bit lighter, but after asking alot of AC's and reservation holders, at the end of the day everyone concluded protection was the #1 priority...
