Can't use v.1.7

This thread isn't new to all here... I have been waiting for red to post a solution, but have not seen any yet. I (along w/ others) can't use v1.7. No prefs are loaded and when I drag and drop red footage on the timeline, it does support the .r3d file. Please help.

I too am having problems with 1.7 and I think we are going in circles... can we have separate threads on this topic... 1 for MAC OS and 1 for PC.

I am using CS4 on a PC and I too loose my R3D options (and HDV and some other) with 1.7 They come back when reinstalling 1.3

Has anyone come up with a work around or a solution?
