Mark, have you tried dis-abling the iData, and the re-enabling it? Some people have had success with that (albeit not specifically with build 20).

Mark, iData works here on the RED/ Birger combo. I just had to check/ uncheck the S4i box.

Mark, did you wait long enough? It takes 5-10 sec after toggling the S4i before the data appears on screen. If this does not help, try a long push on the middle button. That should make the mount to send the data to R1.

I just want to confirm you guys are getting iData on build 20 with Birger/EOS.
Yes, I waited plenty and pushed all the buttons on the Birger. I have iris and focus but no iData. I get iData with build 18, no problem.

Yes, the new REDAlert package installs a new version of REDline.
When you render with the new REDline, at least white balance is different from previous versions.

In Clipfinder, currently neither the main window (proxy based) nor the loupe window (SDK based) show what you will get when you render. If you want to adjust look settings, you'll need to use REDAlert (CMD-R from Clipfinder).

So I'm about to grade a short that was shot on build 17, but I want tot take advantage of the color science, and since it has not filtered down through the SDK yet, I think I need to use ClipFinder to create the clips. Even though the viewing windows do not show you what is going on, it will still render through the new redline correct?

What I'm thinking of doing is this- exporting out XML, using ClipFinder to create the online which I'll bring into Color to finish the grade. Does that make sense?

i just shot a dance piece in extreme low light conditions; when i play back in camera i see all the clips except the one where the camera stalled due to overheat and where i had to power cycle the camera; nevertheless in RA i can see only my last take when opening the R3D direct from Red Drive, when i try to open the R3D from my back up drive: nothing !
So, how can i get all my clips into my machine ?

What is the new start up time? Have you timed it yet?
It would be great to get it down to about 20 seconds.
