  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So the DOF at 10 feet is about 1/4" . How do you follow focus the damn thing? :)

Those MTF graphs, at what frequency are they? 40 lp/mm? It does not seem to be particularly sharp, especially fully open. Nonetheless, an interesting lens. :)
 
Considering the date on the card there is Oct. 13, 1969, the lens is at least 30 years old. The optical design, older than that... I wouldn't expect sharpness to be it's defining aspect by any means. Interesting lens for sure. I would be interested in seeing what it's measured T-stop works out to. I would be surprised if it's anywhere close to T1.3.

I wouldn't pay the asking price of that one on ebay by any stretch of the imagination. IMO, anyone who pays more than about $1K for this lens is a serious antique collector.
