Hello Guys,

Can you guys recommend an affordable monitor in the 17-24" range for use as a Director's monitor????

I have considered the Samsung T200HD

Any and all recommendations are very much appreciated!!!
Cheers,
Prio

we bought an LG 20LS7D over a year ago before we bought our Panasonic.
Worked great albeit HDMI only. Do yourself a favor and get a little 6'" HDMI jumper or splitter and put it on camera. this way the breakaway happens with a 10$ part not the camera. HDMI is not a very practical connector in the field it bends to easy but if your careful you'll be fine for a very low price

HP...

HP...

HPLP2475w - 24', H-IPS. Works fine, quite nice colors because of IPS technology, wider gamut than adobe RGB (measured with calib. device). Just this is normal LCD panel and it is important to resolve some case for it to be transportable.

I know IPS technology means some risk of slow image response, however in real world, we are fine with it.

I also want the option of using it on set to eval overall composition, focus, etc.... Just saw a Viewsonic 21" 1920X 1080 w/ hdmi at my local Officedepot for $149??? Are these even worth considering??? I am trying not to spend $3k on a Panasonic!!! No, let me rephrase that- Can't spend $3k on a monitor right now!!!! Bushonomics!!!!

Play Back Monitor on HDMI cable is not best solution . First of all cable can not be sow long as SD dif cable , or even HD signal cable .
2. HDMI connector on camera is not protected , cable can jump out from port any time .
Also you can not split signal if you use HDMI monitor . (Without special eqv )

Does anybody know where I can get the Monitor Sony KDL26S3000 26" .
Do you have any other suggestions for a compatible monitor? Would be grateful for any advise.
Thanks
