  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FS: 8gb CF Module

If you sell it because you have the upgraded for 16gb, I remember reading red will ask a refund...

If you don't have the new one, no offense but without the cf module, i'm sure the connectors will die fast... i wouldn't do that if I were you

Hey Jeff, just curious, what is the upgrade deal with the CF Module, cant find any mention of it... & what does it unlock it to (MB)?

The upgrade to the new one is free if you have the module to begin with. I don't know if RED would honor a free upgrade if you upgrade from someone else's module.

RED was just sending out the new module with each person's first order of 16GB CF cards and they were asking for the old module back so that there wouldn't be old CF modules circulating in the wild. All cameras shipped since last October or so (about serial # 2500 or so) have the new CF module, unless they were purchased without one.

The new CF module looks about the same as the old one, I think it just fixes compatibility with the 16GB cards since the RED cards are a little bit "special".
 
If you received an upgraded CF module with your first order of 16GB cards you must send back your old one or you will be charged for it. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at bfair@red.com
