How Red Scarlet 2/3 Cinema will work in Photo mode? Will be like a regular DSLR (ISO, Aperture Shutter Speed, etc?) and in video mode will i have XLR audio in?

I'm not too sure how RED is going to implement the 'Stills' mode, but I know that you will need an I/O Module for the xlrs.

There is a video/stills switch shown on some of the renders. Should work like a regular DSLR for stills.

This makes me think I may be able to save some money and skip the I/O module since I won't need my camera to record sound. I already have sound recording equipment.

And if you have an output from that audio recording equipment, you could run it into the mini 3.5 jack on the brain for reference audio.

You'll still need an I/O module to jam sync with your sound gear. Though, it looks like the brain may have the timecode port built onto it in some of the renders, so maybe not.
