CF Cards & Post Office

Just a quick note. I sent in one of my 16GB CF cards via US Postal Service to RED for a firmware upgrade. John Restivo at RED was nice enough to call me and tell me that the envelope arrived with the cover letter but no CF card. He sent a photo of the envelope with a nice slit along the edge where someone had opened the letter and taken the CF card. Fedex for me from now on.

Posts like this lead to paranoia.

And to add to this: On my last flight from SF to LAX my luggage came back opened and a few items were missing (cheapo DV cam, and all my german coins.)

There are some very bad players out there. Would recommend if possible to avoid Kennedy TSA domestic to international flights with short times where you cannot verify your lugguage actually has gotten on the international flight. Notorious.
