I have some lenses for sale, spring cleaning, First pictures then Ill make sense of them.

All Shots on Red with the 75mm Ekran speed, and the Ekran 25-80 compact zoom.

These first shot is a still life shot on 25-80 compact zoom at t3.5

The second two shots are of the Ekran 25-80mm Compact zoom. It is new old stock. It has a PL mount. Although it is new, it was made in '92 and needs a lube job. Old grease is stiff.

This lens was photographed with an Ekran 75mm speed. More on that later.

And here we have another shot of the 25-80 and....

a set of Canon k-35 speeds (18mm is a 2.8). 18mm t2.8, 24mm t1.6, 35mm t1.4, 55mm t1.4

These lenses are in BNCR (mount available for Red at Visual Products). Action on Iris and focus is smooth on all lenses. Two issues - 18mm has a coating mark (big rub) right in the center of the rear element. I am not sure if or how this will affect image. I was told it would not, but I don't know. I did my best to photograph it but its hard to see. The 24mm has a ding in the filter threads. I think Duclos could most likely repair it if you were so inclined.

There has been much written about these lenses. I have heard but not had it confirmed (Stuart? Ducloses?) that the 24-55 cover full frame 35mm. When held up to a card, the image circle is pretty large.

Here we have the 18 and the 24. If you look hard you can see the rub in the center of the rear element of the 18. The ding I mentioned is on the lens left front of the second picture.

And here we have the 35mm front and back and the 55mm front.

And here are the back of the 55mm, and the Ekran 75mm t1.6. The Ekran is in PL mount. It has a faint scratch on the front element, and light cleaning marks on the rear. They obviously don't effect the image, all the other lenses were shot with the 75mm.

And finally one more view of the 75mm, and a still frame from the 25-80 zoom.

Prices

I am asking $1,400.00 for the 75mm Ekran

I am asking $6,500.00 for the 25-80

I am asking $7,500.00 for the K-35s

Please PM me with any questions.

Thanks,

Nick Gardner

Forgot to mention, I will break up the k-35 set if there is interest.

Cheers,

Nick

Hi, what about the 25-80?
How does it deal with back focus?
Any chance to adjust it when it doesn't hold the focus while zooming?
Otherwise it's just a variable prime, I guess.
Thank you.

Hi,

The 25-80 is a true cine zoom lens. It holds focus throughout the zoom range.

It is a fantastic lens for handheld and steadicam it weighs just under 2 lbs.

Cheers,

Nick

Ok guys,

The K-35s won a technical achievement Academy Award. They are super speeds. They are comparable to Ziess with a reputation of being sharper wide open. I am asking less than half the price of any comparable set of cine lenses, let alone speeds. Plus, these should cover FF 35. Optitek can do a PL mount conversion on these if you like.

First person to buy any of these lenses gets a bonus Ang. 12-120. Put it on your desk, use it for target practice, or shoot retro 2k with it.

Thanks,

Nick

I have had a few questions about the coating mark on the back of the 18mm.

From what I have been told, and what I have read, it should not affect the image. However, if I were to keep the lenses, I would send it to these guys and have them recoat it.

I had them do the front element of a wide zoom, it was around $300 and they did a great job.

I am accepting offers on these lenses, and then they will go to ebay.

Cheers,

Nick

Howdy all,

I'm keeping these listed here till the end of the week and am then going to sell them elsewhere.

As always, please PM me if you have any questions, or would like more specific photos.

Thanks,

Nick

Lowering prices on everything. PM me reasonable offers.

Thanks,

Nick

The m1 is an integral part of my zombie apocalypse preparedness package as are the bars of silver. Can't part with it I'm afraid ;-)

you can also use the Allstar system on the k-35's and keep the PL mount no?

Hey hey,

I ended up getting the K-35s converted to PL and keeping them. I got a newer 18mm, so I have still have the 2.8 18mm kicking around.
