Graeme has just completed a new version of RED Color Science and we are looking for a few test pilots to try it out.

The improvements are meaningful and improve image color throughout the spectrum but specifically address shooting under tungsten light.

We will pick a handful of volunteers that have no other commitment for about a week. You need to NOT be in the middle of a shoot and have time to run tests without the pressure of switching builds back and forth during the testing period.

You will get a new firmware build for the camera and a new RED Alert! to open the files. After testing, you will be able to go back to your old build... or a newer build that includes this color science if it is as successful in testing as we think it will be. If and when we make the decision to change to the new color, we will change the SDK to incorporate the new color and inform all that use the SDK.

Any takers?

I'm in game, let me know how I can help. I'm based out of LA o for me is no problem.

Count me in! Should I contact Graeme?

Graeme does the color science, not the scheduling. Stuart will be contacting prospective "test pilots" when the package is ready to go.

Truly wish I could take the ball on this one, but my camera's out on rental and will be for a while

I'm shooting for the next week or so, but I just wanted the chime in on how awesome this is. Not to sound like a suck ass, but I can't commend enough this open model of development.

Hi Jim,

you can count me in.

Think of it as a plus:
As I am in Europe this might be helpful in terms of "globalized" tests. We test while you sleep (if you...) and you have feedback when you wake up (...). This can speed some things up a bit.

Regards,

Axel

PS: I guess your team will contact us then via email, right? Or should we take any action to contact them?

Where's the sign up sheet? I'm in if you'll have me.

To make this a useful test, anything specific you're looking for or needing Graeme?

Although we can't commit our cameras, I'm very interested to see how this turns out, knowing it may be a while before it makes it into a release build.

Better results in Tungsten will make everyone happier. Thanks for the update.

Hey guys.. (edit - filled up, thanks! )
