  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I have a simple question: Is a mac pro quad core (not intel) good to work with redcine?

No... with some stipulations

No... with some stipulations

The IBM Power PC quad core will not work with the NATIVE recode R3D files.

You could convert it on another mac that has a intel chip, into a file format that works with the IBM mac.

You could even buy a mac mini and have it become your render machine if your in a pinch, or a cheap PC.

But simple answer no. Redcine won't even open on it.
